FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: inventions are attributed to rocket engineering. The device for missile liftoff from aircraft includes starting device with missile connected with extraction parachute using coupling link, main parachute system with canopy and shroud lines, and system of automatic start by missile power plant. Starting device represents container with a hole on one of its end surfaces. Missile is installed inside the container. Missile head is directed towards hole of the container along the perimetre of which also from the side of the hole, shroud lines of the main parachute system are installed. Canopy of the main parachute system has a vent the size of which exceeds the size of missile maximum transversal dimension. Method of missile liftoff includes activation of extraction parachute, pulling-out the starting device with a missile from aircraft cargo compartment, pulling-out the main parachute system, orientation of of starting device with a missile and missile engine start. During the main parachute activation, the starting device is oriented vertically upwards. Then missile engine is started. The missile passes through the starting device hole and through the vent of main parachute system.
EFFECT: increase in reliability of missile liftoff from aircraft, simplification and reducing time for its implementation.
