FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water treatment and may be used in drinking water preparation systems. Water to be treated and kept in vessel 10 is bled by 5 via hole in bottom of reaction chamber 1 and fed to device 6 intended for mixing water with ozone. Ozone is fed from ozone generator 8 via tube 7 to gas inlet of aforesaid device 6. Produced mix of water with ozone is fed to ozonising section 3 of reaction chamber 1. Ozonised water from ozonising section 3 penetrates through screen 2 into fibrous filler of reaction chamber precipitation section 4. Further, water is forced back into vessel 10 via outlet 14 for another "ozonising-removing" cycle. In preset number of cycles, process is terminated to bleed clean water via valve 13.
EFFECT: faster oxidation by ozone, slower coagulation and precipitation by adhesion on fibrous structures.
