SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering of organosilicon compounds. Disclosed are novel polyphenyldimethyl siloxane binding substances of general formula [C₆H₅SiO_1,5]_n[(CH₃)₂SiO]_m[CH₃SiO_1,5]_k , where n, m and k are molar fractions of links, the sum of which is equal to 1, and the values are in the following ranges: n and m from 0.05-0.95; k from 0 to 0.95. Disclosed also is synthesis method thereof via polycondensation in an active medium of a mixture of organoalkoxysilanes: C₆H₅Si(OR)₃; (CH₃)₂Si(OR)₂; CH₃Si(OR)₃, where R denotes a C₁-C₄ alkyl group, taken in molar ratios corresponding to ratios of said values for n, m and k. The active medium is anhydrous acetic acid or mixture of anhydrous acetic acid and an organic solvent.

EFFECT: obtaining novel polymethylphenylsiloxane binding substances with uniform composition and no content of residual alkoxyl groups, as well as a practically feasible synthesis method.
