FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: fog spread direction relative to a protected object is identified. A corona discharge is generated at a windward side relative to the protected object by a flow of charged particles aligned towards a side that is directed at the protected object. Generation of an aligned flow of charged particles is realised by a corona discharge between corona-forming electrodes and a collecting electrode, a significant portion of surface of which is transparent for air flow passage. A collecting electrode may be an electroconductive mesh, or a lattice, or vertical stands installed with a gap relative to each other. Transparency of the collecting electrode structure, i.e. the ratio of through holes area to the total area of the electrode must not make at least 50%.

EFFECT: increased meteorological distance of visibility and improved conditions of appropriate vehicles navigation.
