FIELD: electrical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment intended for active action on atmosphere in order to dissipate fogs in controlled territory (aerodromes, highways, open platforms for various sports and entertainment events, etc.). Besides, proposed method and device can be used for air ventilation in large territory, including for ventilation of open pits, as well as for causing additional precipitation, reducing the probability of precipitation. Device for mist dispersion contains three flat structures installed with a gap between each other and free for passage of air flow. Central structure is grounded. Corona-forming electrodes connected to high-voltage source of direct current are electrically insulated in space between its earthed elements. Two other structures are connected to sources of high DC voltage of different polarity and are electrically insulated on both sides relative to the central structure. For fog scattering, a directed flow of electrically charged particles generated by corona discharge is generated using said mist dispersion device. In process of corona discharge generation additional electric field is generated, power lines of which pass through action area of inhomogeneous electric field generating corona discharge, and are oriented in direction of flow of electrically charged particles. Higher efficiency of mist dispersion is achieved by separating the process of forming a directed flow of electrically charged particles into two independent processes: electrically charged particles are formed with the help of corona discharge and the formed electrically charged particles are exposed to an additional more uniform electric field, which power lines are oriented towards planned movement of particles. Additional field can be formed with maximum possible degree of homogeneity. Stability of homogeneous electric field from probable electric breakdown allows forming additional electric field with value of its intensity higher than value in comparison with nearest analogue.

EFFECT: velocity of flow of electrically charged particles increases, velocity of formed wind flow increases.
