SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in microscopy of blood smears, bone marrow, punctates and various organ imprints in clinical laboratories of various medical institutions, and also in scientific morphological investigations in universities and medical and biological research institutes. A composition for fixation of haematologic and cytologic preparations contains the following ingredients: methanol - 1 litre, azure 2 - 1.8-2.2 g, eosin potassium - 1.2-1.6 g, citric acid - 0.06-0.1 g, potassium hydroxide - 0.04-0.08 g.
EFFECT: higher quality of preparation fixation.
