SUBSTANCE: switching device comprises a lever (1) of a knife switch for manual closing and/or opening of switching contacts and a circuit breaker for automatic opening of switching contacts. The knife switch lever (1) is arranged with the possibility of rotation on a rotation axis (6) rigidly installed in the switching device, and a control drum (7) is installed nearby. The knife switch lever (1) has an actuator ledge (2), where there is a separate handle (3) installed, having at least one fixing ledge (5), and the actuating ledge (2) has at least one fixing ledge (16) for engagement of the specified at least one fixing ledge (5). The actuating ledge (2) has at least one first area (9) next to the control drum (7), and also one second area (10) adjacent to the first area (9). Besides, the second area (10) in the area (17) of transition from the first area (9) to the second area (10) forms a ledge, and in the area (17) of transition there is at least one fixing ledge (16).

EFFECT: increased service life of a switching device, in particular, of a knife switch lever.
