FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method includes rough milling of soil with turf closing into lower layers. A soil layer is cut by milling of five slots with a width of 15 cm and two slots with a width of 1 cm, at the sides of the central slot, to form strips with the width that does not exceed 47.5 cm. In the upper part of strips there are three slots cut with depth of 4 cm and width of 1 cm. Then flat ploughing of strips is carried out with soil overturning in internal furrows with complete closing of turf into the lower layer. The compacted track is tilled following power vehicle traces for depth of 4…6 cm. Afterwards the upper layer of soil is ground by milling with a cutting speed of not more than 5 m/s by means of side deformation of cut chips. Soil is levelled and compacted prior to sowing. Seeds are sown into a compacted bed with local application of a start dose of mineral fertilisers, and post-sowing rolling is carried out. The device comprises a frontally suspended milling drum with a drive from a power take-off shaft in the power vehicle. The milling drum is arranged with L-shaped knives on flanges, is equipped with flat knives of various length and has a jacket. The device also comprises a rear-mounted roller arranged smooth, a grinder-balancer, a rotor with active working elements and a trailed sowing machine with a roller. The grinder-balancer is arranged in the form of tilling hoes installed following the power vehicle wheels traces. The device is equipped with a frontal-rotary plough with single-sided and doubled right- and left-turning helical plough bodies and additional bodies. On each flange of the rear-mounted roller rotor there are three flat knives installed at the angle of 64…70° to axis of rotation with an angle of blades sliding equal to 50...90°.

EFFECT: suggested technology and structural design will make it possible to reduce power inputs of pre-sowing grinding of a strong turf-covered layer per single run of a machine with full closing of turf.
