SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of filtration materials. Method of determining protective properties of cleaning air from aerosols containing dangerous impurities consists in calculation of breakthrough factor for porous cermet filtration materials with the help of formula based on exponent of expression including relation of double product of "useful porosity", total coefficient of diffusion in precipitation of aerosol particles and thickness of cermet filtration material layer to product of filtered air flow rate and square of difference between pore and aerosol particle radii.
