FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method is based on measuring radio-frequency radiation parameters at several points in space with scanning radio receiving devices and converted into a system of equations of circles of equal ratios, wherein in order to measure radio-frequency radiation parameters, M, which is not less than four, stationary radio control posts are used, where said posts do not lie on the same line, and one of them is taken as the base by providing it with an additional special software and connecting it to the rest of the M-1 posts using communication lines; quasi-synchronous scanning at given fixed setup frequencies is performed on all posts; the obtained signal level values on each of the scanning frequencies are averaged, and then on the base post for each of the combinations C4 m based on the inverse proportion of ratios of distances from the post to the radio-frequency radiation and the corresponding differences in signal levels expressed in dB, three equations are constructed, each describing a circle of equal ratios, based on parameters of any two pairs which determine the current average value of the width and length of the location of the radio-frequency radiation source as coordinates of the radical centre of circles of equal ratios, which are the point of intersection of radical axes of these circles, wherein the operations are repeated until the difference between two neighbouring values of current sums of dispersions of the width and length of the position of the radio-frequency radiation source changes its sign, after which the averaged values, coordinates of radiation source are taken as final.
EFFECT: determining coordinates of the position of radio-frequency radiation sources using existing radio control posts of the Radio-frequency service of the Russian Federation.
