FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio control systems intended for locating unregistered radio radiation sources. Proposed method proceeds from measuring radiation parameters in some points in space by scanning radio receivers and converted into set of equations of equal circumferences. Note here that to measure said parameters used are N, at least four stationary radio control stations not located on one straight line. One such station is taken to be basic one provided with special software and connected via communication lines with other N-1 stations. Each station performs quasisynchronous scanning over preset fixed frequencies to average obtained signal levels in each frequency. Said basic station uses each combination C4 N inversely proportional relation between distances from station to source and relevant signal level differences in dB to formulate three equations each describing identical circumferences so that parameters of any two pairs of said circumferences may be used to define current mean source latitude and altitude as coordinates of radical center of identical circumferences that double as point of intersection of radical axes of said circumferences. Said operates are reiterated unless difference in two adjacent values of current sums of latitude and altitude dispersions changes its sign. To increase accuracy of determination, tables of corrections are compiled. Said corrections are taken to make difference between calculated and actual latitudes and altitudes of existing known radio radiation sources, final determination of coordinates is performed in statistical processing of calculation results with due allowance for corrections obtained from, for example, approximated correction tables and used for relevant calculated latitudes and altitudes of unknown source. Then, averaged coordinates are registered as final coordinates.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of determination.
