FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: noise level is measured on each of the analysed frequencies and the average value is calculated, the result of which is used to predict the noise level in short time intervals, after which the prediction error value is estimated, wherein prediction is done at different adaptation coefficients and based on the preliminary prediction results, adaptation coefficients are selected for each frequency, which ensure minimum mean-root-square error of prediction.

EFFECT: high accuracy of predicting noise level at analysed frequency at a certain time in advance.
