FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: cultivator comprises a frame with mounted handles, support, motor and a working element. The working element is arranged with the possibility of rotation by the motor and is formed by milling cutters arranged with the possibility of rotation. Axes of milling cutters rotation are parallel to each other and are aligned in direction of motion at the angle to soil to be cultivated. According to the section version, the cultivator is equipped with a traction-coupling or suspended-coupling device fixed to the frame for connection to a tractor and a coupling device. The coupling device is located on the frame and is arranged with the possibility of connection to the cultivator's drive arranged as a power take-off shaft of the tractor. The milling cutter used for the working element in each of the versions of the mechanised cultivator has a driving shaft and at least two fingers fixed on this driving shaft and arranged with the possibility of interaction with soil. Each finger is set by a helical line formed around the axis of the milling cutter rotation. Direction of the helical line travel in fingers of the appropriate milling cutter matches direction of this milling cutter rotation. Direction of rotation of at least two of the specified cutters are selected opposite so that the left - when looking in direction of motion - from these two milling cutters rotates counterclockwise, and the right one - when looking in direction of motion - out of these two milling cutters - clockwise.

EFFECT: using cultivators with a milling cutter for them will make it possible to increase stability and control of the cultivator, to reduce sensitivity to the type of cultivated soil and availability of stones, to facilitate manipulation with the cultivator, to eliminate slippage and burying of the cultivator.
