SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used for diagnostics and treatment in case of cardio-vascular system diseases. Simultaneously with registration of sphygmogram equal in duration parts of electrocardiogram are registered, duration of R-R intervals of electrocardiogram are measured. Diagnostic index of artery elasticity (D) is calculated by formula: D= TPS - TPE/TPS*100%, where TPS is total spectral power of intersystolic time intervals of registered sphygmogram part, TPE is total spectral power of R-R intervals of registered electrocardiogram part. Of value of diagnostic index is lower than 5%, decrease of artery elasticity is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out screening-diagnostics of state of arterial vessels.
