FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves recording arterial pulsation and its patterns. Reference arterial pulse interval values are determined as time intervals measured from anacrotic arterial pulsation maximum to dicrotic maximum of the same wave. Occlusion cuff is applied to arm and air compression is created in the cuff to make air pressure exceed systolic blood pressure. The pressure is supported in the cuff unchanged for 4-6 min and decompression is applied. Additional test value of arterial time interval is determined 1-3 min after decompression end. Diagnostic arterial responsiveness value is calculated by applying mathematical formula based on the measured parameters.
EFFECT: reliability in estimating flexibility properties of arteries.
