FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of fluids, namely, to separation of gel mixes and may be used in chemical and food industries. Proposed method comprises fluid exposure to symmetric magnetic field with 3rd-order symmetry induced by electromagnet with winding fitted on toroidal coil. Said winding is made up of three sectors connected in series, each being laid on said toroidal coil along torus surface generatrix. Coil inner and outer radii are related as 1:0.577. Winding sector width vs width of zones without winding represents "gold section".

EFFECT: water separation from fluid media with gel-solid particles.
