FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning of gases containing liquid impurities. Centrifugal separator comprises stationary housing confining separation chamber and having inner wall surface facing separation chamber, gas inlet branch pipe, rotary element arranged inside separation chamber downstream of inlet branch pipe to revolve therein. Note here that said rotary element serves to impart rotary motion to gas to separate at least some fraction of fluid impurities cy centrifugal forces. It comprises also fluid discharge branch pipe comprising at least one discharge orifice passing through wall inner surface, circular surface extending inward from wall inner surface and arranged upstream of inlet hole. First fluid discharge branch pipe comprises circular screening element extending from circular surface and arranged radially inward from inlet hole. Screening element and circular surface make annular groove arranged radially inward from outlet hole.
EFFECT: efficient separation.
