FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: procedure refers to non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to electrolytic production of aluminium in electrolysers with preliminary burned anode and can be used for control of pneumatic cylinder of punch of system of automatic supply of alumina into melted electrolyte. The procedure for control of aluminium electrolyser with system of automatic supply of alumina with pneumatic cylinder, a rod of which is equipped with the punch for punching cryolite-alumina crust, consists in transfer of the punch downward and at detection of the punch contact with electrolyte melt in return of the punch into an initial position. Contact of the punch with melt of electrolyte is determined at recording reduced frequency of generated pulses of a controlled generator of pulses when parameters of frequency-setting circuit between anode and the pneumatic cylinder are changed relative to frequency of generated pulses in the initial state of the punch. Return of the punch into the initial position is performed at decreased frequency of generated pulses for more, than 20 %. Frequency of generated pulses in initial state of the punch is recorded in the range from 10 to 30 kHz.

EFFECT: determination of contact of punch and electrolyte with usage of any type of pneumatic cylinders.
