FIELD: metallurgy, electrolysis.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to automatic control of aluminium production process and can be implemented in systems of automatic supply of alumina (AAS) to electrolytic bath at electrolysis production of aluminium. The punch of the raw material automatic supply into the electrolytic cell consists of a rod with the secured on it tip made out of reinforced composite dielectric corresponding to silicon carbide with contents of SiC approximately 60-85% and Si3N4 - 40-15% and with addition of metal oxides such as SiO2+Si or melted quartz with contents 80-99% of SiO2, or aluminium titanate AlTi, or ceramics Si3N4. The rod of the punch in its upper part has a circular flange whereto the upper flange of the tip tightly adjoins. The upper flange of the tip is maintained with holders arranged on the circular flange.

EFFECT: elimination of direct contact of punch unit with electrolytic melt and therefore elimination of negative effect of electro-chemical interaction of electrolyte with material of tip; more uniform distribution of impact loads on tip of punch rod resulting in increased service life and raised efficiency of AAS of electrolytic baths.
