FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: fan cooling tower includes housing with air supply openings, inside which there is installed sprinkler and water distributing device, warm water supply pipeline, tray, heat exchanger and lower water distributing header of anti-icing system, which is located above tray; recuperative heat exchanger is installed outside housing of cooling tower and connected to additional heating system of some portion of warm water supplied to lower water distributing header, and additional warm water heating system itself includes heat pump and underground heat accumulator. Lower water distributing header is located coaxially to cooling tower housing and equipped with nozzles oriented inside cooling tower to lower peripheral part of sprinkler at angle α=45-65° to vertical plane. Nozzles of lower water distributing header are equipped with head pieces with slot-type holes.
EFFECT: invention allows improving operating reliability of fan cooling tower during winter operating period owing to reducing ice formation in peripheral part of cooling tower near inlet openings.
