SUBSTANCE: leather welding contraction is measured in percentage, and the total moisture content is evaluated in samples cut out of such leather pieces where fibres are arranged horizontally, e.g. belly, lower belly, paws, at the moment of welding contraction measurement; then the molecule-free intrafibrillary volume is evaluated by the moisture content and the leather welding contraction and the humidity of the completely watered leather, while the molecule-free intermolecular volume is calculated by a difference of the completely watered and absolutely dry molecule volumes; the interfibrillary volume is shown by a difference of the total moisture content and the total moisture in the intermolecular volume and the intrafibrillary volume.
EFFECT: higher information value of the analysis.
