FIELD: leather production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to leather production and can be used for processing raw material from humpback hides. Method for soaking raw material from humpback hides involves treatment of the raw material with an aqueous solution of a nonionic surfactant in presence of 0.5–1.0 % of the weight of the modified amino resin raw material of formula
.
EFFECT: proposed method for humpback hides soaking provides derma hardening that allows further processing of raw material without damage and obtaining high-quality hides from humpback hides for haberdashery and shoe articles, which will considerably expand range of leather and shoe industry.
