SUBSTANCE: method to diagnose the technical condition of power equipment includes recording time dependences of voltage and current consumed by an electric motor, which is made with the help of voltage and current sensors with further passage through a low-pass filter. Instantaneous capacities of each phase are calculated. Further spectral analysis of produced voltage, current and capacity signals is carried out. Then coefficients of asymmetry, harmonics, power losses are calculated. Based on these coefficients and taking into account the output coordinate, the technical condition of the electric drive is identified, and the residual resource is estimated.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of fault detection at early stage of occurrence, which makes it possible to plan rational time of AC electric drive repairs.
