FIELD: the proposed invention refers to the field of diagnostics of electric engines and mechanical arrangements involved with them.

SUBSTANCE: the technical task of the invention is the creation of an effective and convenient mode of diagnostics and also of expansion of the arsenal of diagnostics of electric engines of alternating current and of mechanical arrangements involved with them. The mode of diagnostics of electrical engines of alternating current and of mechanical arrangements involved with them is in that during a prescribed period of time registration of the values of phase current consumed by the electric engine is made with the aid of a current sensor with linear amplitude-frequency characteristics, the analyzed character features are picked up with the aid of a filter of low frequencies, the received signal is converted from an analog into a digital form and then the spectral analysis of the received signal and comparison of the values of the amplitude on character frequencies with the level of the signal on the frequency on the mains supply is made. At that if the amplitudes on the character frequencies are lower then the amplitudes of the main pea on the frequency of the mains supply on the prescribed value the conclusion is made about good technical condition of the electric engine and in case if the indicated difference between the amplitudes is smaller then the prescribed value the conclusion is made that a damage is developing.

EFFECT: creates effective and convenient mode of diagnostics.
