FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: supply voltage and phase current are continuously measured in three phases of the electric motor. Using signals of instantaneous current and voltage values, instantaneous values of consumed capacities are continuously calculated. The value of the average capacity is calculated for a period, spectrograms of consumed capacities are built. The value of energy losses is calculated in the motor at each of the spectrum frequencies. The technical condition of the motor is assessed by comparison of produced spectrograms of losses to similar spectrograms produced on a presumably operable motor.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and validity of electric drive elements damage diagnostics as a result of taking into account the load of a diagnosed motor, which is of a random nature.
