FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: known device is supplemented with a low-pass filter, an analogue-to-digital converter, a unit for correlation analysis of adjacent pulses, a unit for smoothing characteristics, a unit for finding the global minimum, a unit for calculating the classification feature and a data storage unit. Similarly, inter-unit connections are changed. The essence of the invention lies in that, by changing the design of the prototype, averaging of the classification feature according to different viewing angles, which is under doubt because of lack of information on the rate of change of the aspect of the object, averaging on the number of reflected pulses is changed, undoubtedly corresponding to the maximum angular speed of change of the aspect of the location of the radar surveillance object (aerial object during flight in a turbulent atmosphere). A correlation algorithm executed in three digital units of the disclosed device are employed to select the time instant for maximising angular speed.
EFFECT: high probability of correct classification of radar surveillance objects.
