FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: there is evaluated a cytokine-vegetative balance which is the relation of a sympathetic and parasympathetic activity balance coefficient value (InLF/HF) to a cytokine balance coefficient value (IL-4/IL-1). If the value is >0.9, a high risk of developing life-threatening arrhythmias is stated, while the value being <0.9 shows a low risk of arrhythmic complications. The given method allows implementing a comprehensive (subject to the cytokine status and the heart rate variability) and operative approach to prediction of life-threatening arrhythmias. The presented method can be widely used both at the in-patient and out-patient treatment stages in the patients suffering IHD combined with COPD.
EFFECT: well-timed antiarrhythmic therapy and improved prediction in the case patients.
