FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: blood serum of a patient suffering gestosis is quantitatively analysed for an alpha amylase level. If the alpha amylase level is >100 Units/l, severe gestosis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: use of the technique allows a well-timed and high preside diagnosis of severe gestosis.
