FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method to obtain high potato crops includes laying of selection material into a storage, setting the required temperature and moisture with regular maintenance of these parameters for the time of storage and subsequent planting of seed potato. Grown potato crops are laid into containers, crop weight is identified, and losses are identified by comparison of weight characteristics: initially and during storage. The storage is a tight chamber. During the first days of storage the optimal controlled gas medium (N2+O2opt) is established in the chamber. During storage values of controlled gas medium ingredients and chamber tightness are continuously monitored. Process of storage is carried out in a practically fully tight chamber until the time of planting. Prior to selection of potato seeds, the chamber is blown with air until content of O2 is 21% with its subsequent depressurisation, afterwards the required amount of potatoes is selected to carry out biochemical, technological and organoleptic inspections, and losses of this potato batch are identified.

EFFECT: improving potato crops due to more rational storage of its tubers.
