FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method involves preparation of a storage facility by washing, chemical treatment and adjustment of an active ventilation system, placing seed material in the storage facility, setting the required temperatures t °C and humidity Ψ in the ventilation system with regular maintenance during storage period autumn-winter-spring – before planting seed potatoes on a prepared field using a potato planter with carrying out agrotechnological works. Potatoes grown and dug by a potato digger are laid in synthetic grids weighing 25-30 kg; number of 300-550 tubers in each is determined. Laying of grids with potatoes in vertical section along height is carried out in three repetitions, and along length of embankment – in four repetitions. 12 samples are taken for each version and 2-3 days before planting losses are determined by selecting diseased tubers by density in solutions of mineral fertilizers, using per 100 l of water: ammonium nitrate 6 kg, superphosphate 7 kg, potassium salts 5 kg, copper sulphate 0.2%, boric acid 0.2%. Density of the solution is determined based on the starch content in tubers of 15-16%, which is a varietal trait for determining the physiological capabilities of the variety determined by its genetics. Loss of this batch of potatoes is determined when all tubers to be removed float.

EFFECT: method provides for annual production of potato yields increased several times from selection seeds reliably preserved without losses with simultaneous increase of its efficiency.
