FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to step-by-step production of polyethylene bags. Device comprises main material feeder, lateral fold material feeder and longitudinal sealer. Main material feeder folds main material web in two layers to be fed in lengthwise direction. Lateral fold material feeder middles lateral fold material and feeds it over main material web length. Note here that lateral fold material webs are opposed and spaced apart for main material web width and distributed over main material web length and fitted in between layers of main material. Longitudinal sealer thermally seals main material layers with lateral fold material layers after the latter are fitted to produce longitudinally sealed sections over main material web length.

EFFECT: efficient production of polyethylene bags.
