FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of plastic bags. Machine comprises side material feeder for side material band feed in lengthwise direction. Its side material guide drives said band for its folding in two directions along lengthwise lines of folding of two aligned plies with opposite side edges whereat folded part is composed. Then, folded part is folded in halves and fitted between plies. Lengthwise cutting device is actuated to cut side material band along lengthwise folding line to two separated parts after said band is folded in both directions so that one of separated parts includes folded parts formed therein. Separated parts guide drives said separated parts to separation point. Then, said parts are aligned to drive cutting and removing device to cut folded parts at definite points and to remove them partially therefrom to make them spaced apart. Fastener material is fed to one of separated parts in direction of its width. Note here that fastener material ply is arranged between cut parts and fitted there between. Aligned separated parts are sealed in lengthwise direction with the help of appropriate lengthwise sealing device. Crosswise sealing device seals separated parts and fastener material ply in direction of separated parts width. Note here that sides, lateral gussets and fastening parts are composed by separated parts, folded parts and fastener material ply.

EFFECT: efficient production of plastic bags.
