SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing granular bisphenol A with iron content less than 1 part per million by weight, involving contacting granular bisphenol A (2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane) with metal removing equipment fitted with a magnet bar mounted on the granulation step or the next step, and trapping metal powder contained in the granular bisphenol A to reduce content of iron in the granular bisphenol A by trapping metal powder in the metal removing equipment in which the magnet bar is placed perpendicular the direction of flow of the transported granular bisphenol A.
EFFECT: high yield.
