FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for ensuring higher efficacy of streptomycin with respect to tuberculosis mycobacteria consists in detoxification and polymerisation of streptomycin within sequential processing by 0.2±0.05 % formalin at 40.0±2.0°C for 3-5 days, and then by 0.2±0.05 % aethonium at 40.0±2.0°C for 3-5 days at the antibiotic content 100-150 mg/ml.
EFFECT: modified antibiotic exhibits lower toxicity, stability to enzymatic action of microorganism, higher efficacy with respect to drug-resistant bovine tuberculosis mycobacteria that leads to higher therapeutic properties of streptomycin.
