FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: water composition for metal coating consists of alkyl-poly-saccharide surface active substance, and of alkoxylane contained in concentration within range from 1 to 10 wt %, chosen from group containing of γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane and γ-glycidoxipropyltrimetoxysilane, water, not necessarily, alcohol, but only silane generated at silane hydrolysis, and not necessarily one or more components chosen from group consisting of biocides, anti-foaming agents and adhesion activators. The procedure for application of silane coating on surface of metal consists in interaction of metal surface with the said composition for sedimentation of alcoxisilane on metal, in drying surface of metal with alcoxisilane settled on it and in forming coating including hydrophobic plexiform net of covalent siloxane bonds on surface of metal.
EFFECT: metal with coating resistant to corrosion.
