FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: device for additional treatment of exhaust gases of internal combustion engines operated at excess air, such as diesel engines and gasoline engines with direct fuel spray; at that, device includes oxidation catalyst of nitrogen monoxide, which is built into exhaust gas pipeline of internal combustion engine; at that, upstream at least one oxidation catalyst of nitrogen monoxide there located is at least one molecular sieve which prevents sulphur dioxide action at least on one catalyst; diameter of free passes through molecular sieve has the value of 3 Ǻ to 6 Ǻ, and oxidation catalyst of hydrocarbons is installed upstream molecular sieve. Also, method for producing the oxidation catalyst device of nitrogen monoxide with molecular sieve located in it is described.
EFFECT: avoiding deactivation of catalysts for NO2 formation with sulphur compounds; decreasing the space occupied with components of additional treatment of exhaust gases.
