SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, pediatrics and can be used in patients with arterial hypertension and obesity/excessive weight for predicting risk of development of metabolic and vascular complications at early stages of diseases, including metabolic syndrome. By method of echocardiography on anterior wall of right ventricle determined are presence of epicardial fat and its thickness, whose value being from 0.2 to 0.6 cm testifies to excess of visceral adipopexis and predicts high risk of development of early cardiovascular complications in childhood and adolescence.

EFFECT: method provides diagnostic and prognostic criterion of visceral adipopexis in childhood and adolescence, creating conditions for formation and progress of cardiovascular and metabolic complications.
