SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrinology, and can be used for early detection of metabolic risks among children and adolescents. Method involves analyzing the composite composition of the body by bioimpedance measurement to determine visceral fat area. ROC-analysis is used to calculate threshold points in visceral fat area. If the area of visceral fat in girls under 10 years old is 35.9 cm2 or more; in boys under 10 years old 37.3 cm2 and more; in girls-adolescents from 10 years to 18 years old 67.5 cm2 and more, and in boys-adolescents from 10 years to 18 years of 45.9 cm2 and more, presence of metabolic disorders is diagnosed.
EFFECT: using the invention enables detecting a risk group requiring close monitoring to prevent developing clinical manifestations of metabolic syndrome.
