SUBSTANCE: waist circumference is measured in patients with coronary heart disease and arterial hypertension. An echocardiographic study is performed to assess the thickness of the interatrial septum and epicardial fat. The obtained values are substituted into the regression equation to assess the risk of developing atrial fibrillation.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the accuracy of atrial fibrillation (AF) development prediction, exclude intervention invasiveness, provide the possibility of carrying out research in outpatient practice, and exclude the need to use expensive laboratory equipment.
