FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric arc metal cutters and may be used in machine building. Proposed device consists of disk electrode with variable linear speed, and liner speed variator. Power supply incorporates pulse generator to send short-term current pulses to electric arc. Pulse frequency is subject to disk electrode rotation speed. Said disk electrode lateral surface is provided with shaped cam located at distance from electrode center equal to disk electrode minimum working radius. Limit switch is arranged in arcing plane and connected via conductors and control unit with pulse generator. Variator is provided with insulating flexible V-belt link or friction variator with one insulating textolite roll.
EFFECT: expanded performances, higher quality.
