SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting devices. Proposed device comprises thread with first and second retainers and slicing section arranged there between. First retainer of thread first end is made up of thread extension toward its first end not participating in slicing. Second retainer of thread first end is made up of thread extension toward its second end not participating in slicing. Said retainers represent knots or strip made from material resisting slicing. Thread allows placing its slicing section and second retainer on material surface and extending it by applying force to first retainer for slicing. Proposed method comprises placing thread slicing section and second retainer on material surface and retaining thread. Besides, proposed method comprises applying force to first retainer for slicing.
