FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for synthesis of ozone from oxygen-containing gases. The ozoniser has two high-resistance electrodes connected to a high-voltage power supply by current leads uniformly distributed on the electrodes with spacing which provides resistance of 3-5 kilohms between the current leads. Current leads of one electrode are shifted half a spacing relative current leads of the other electrode.
EFFECT: use of high-resistance electrodes reduces heating in the discharge zone of the ozoniser which increases ozone input.
