FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing aromatic polyester-ketone involves reaction of 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane with sodium or potassium hydroxide in the presence of dimethylsulphoxide, distillation of the azeotropic mixture at 130-140°C and, after cooling the mixture to 25-30°C, addition of 5% excess 4,4'-difluorodiphenyl-ketone. The reaction takes place in dimethylsulphoxide at 170°C for an hour.
EFFECT: simple method of producing aromatic polyester-ketones.
