FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: monostrand comprises a tubular polyethylene shell 2 filled with anticorrosion lubricant 1, where a reinforcement rod 3 is installed. The polyethylene shell 2 is equipped with ledges 4 arranged at its outer side with slots to ensure passage of cement mortar. The monostrand may be arranged with bushings installed on the polyethylene shell 2, where ledges 4 are located. The method is carried out as follows. Monostrands are placed into a channel shaper, anchors are installed, concrete mix is laid, the channel shaper is filled with a water-cement mix. In point of radial loads application at reinforced concrete structure, on surface of each tubular shell, previously ledges 4 are provided with slots to ensure passage of water-cement mix between monostrands. With such arrangement of monostrands there is a guaranteed gap formed between them, which is filled with a water-cement mix. After mortar hardening, monostrands are stressed with jacks until the required stress is achieved. When bushings are used, they may be displaced along the polyethylene shell 2 and be fixed in the required area, for instance, by means of welding or glue. Therefore, ledges at the monostrand may be arranged with the necessary pitch t. It ensures integrity of tubular polyethylene shells as ropes are stressed, since neighbouring monostrands do not touch each other in points of radial loads application, and therefore, they do not deform or break the rope polyethylene shells, accordingly, ropes are not corroded during operation, and there are no difficulties in their replacement. Besides, guaranteed penetration of water-cement mix is ensured between monostrands, and as it hardens, load is efficiently transferred to a reinforced concrete structure.
