FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: flare shank consists of head, of gas seal installed in upper part of flare shank, of connecting pipe for supply of blowing gas and of additional gas seal set at base of flare shank or in flare collector before flare shank. Also, the connecting pipe of blowing gas is set directly behind the additional gas seal.
EFFECT: maintaining excess pressure at base of flare shank at vent of gases lighter, than air; raised efficiency, reliability and service life of flare shank due to absence of moving elements.
