FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in order to determine the distribution profile of the absorbed dose of electron radiation with energy of up to 10 MeV in absolute units of absorbed dose in material of a sample with low effective atomic number (Zeff≤11), the material is exposed while using as the accompanying detector, a state standard sample of absorbed dose in form of a polymer film made from a copolymer with a phenazine coating, as well as a standard procedure for determining the absorbed dose through comparative measurements of absorbance of the exposed polymer film and the non-exposed sample of the polymer film chosen as the reference, wherein the sample of the analysed material is made in form of two blocks, each having the shape of a parallelepiped or a cylinder with a common plane of contact; the state standard sample of the absorbed dose in form of a polymer film is placed between blocks of the analysed material, after which the obtained structure is exposed to an electron beam with diameter of 10-15 mm along the plane of contact of the blocks of the analysed material and along the polymer film of the accompanying detector, after which the standard procedure for determining the absorbed dose is used.

EFFECT: rapidness, preserving integrity of samples, automatic elimination of internal albedo effects, low measurement error.
