FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: peritonitis is simulated in rats by peritoneum infection ensured by introduction of bacterial culture E.Coli O-111 dosed 14 bln microbial bodies per 100 g of rat's weights in 2 ml of 20% mannitol to an abdominal cavity through a needle.
EFFECT: reliable, approached clinical presentation of a purulent infection in reproducing acute general peritonitis with increasing life expectancy of animals that can be used for developing new methods of treating the disease.
