SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental medicine, and can be used for simulating common purulent peritonitis in rabbits. For this purpose, 1.5 ml of 10 % CaCl₂ is introduced into the rabbit in the region of mesogastric pre-rabbits. In 24 hours in right and left hypochondrium, right and left inguinal regions, intraperitoneal instillation of E.coli endotoxin in amount of 1 ml/kg of weight and 10 % of faecal suspension from fresh faeces of the same animals prepared on isotonic solution of sodium chloride and filtered once through a double layer of gauze in dose of 2.0 ml into each of four points.

EFFECT: method provides adequate stable reproduction under experimental conditions of a well-developed clinic of prevalent suppurative peritonitis.
