FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: in procedure of generation of toroid current of asymmetry at stationary operation of thermonuclear reactor there is made trap with stationary toroid magnetic field. It is filled with plasma of density and temperature required for thermonuclear reactions. There is generated both bootstrap-current and toroid current of asymmetry with maximal density near magnetic axis of a thermonuclear reactor, value of which is controlled by changing value and radial distribution of density and plasma temperature.

EFFECT: implementation of mechanism of generation of toroid current of asymmetry with maximal density near magnetic axis of installation which eliminates generation of start-up current with external devices; simplification of design and raised efficiency of operation of stationary thermonuclear reactor.
