This device makes it possible to pick up very small signals with a semiconductor transforming element by increasing the signal-to-noise ratio of the radiation detector. Radiation image forming apparatus, contains a device for detecting radiation, which in turn contains: pixels, including a transforming element, placed on the insulating base, transforming elements, placed above the specified switching elements, gate wiring, connected with each of the transforming elements, placed in the direction of the rows on the specified insulating base, signal wiring, connected to each of the switching elements placed in the direction of the columns, many insulating films placed between the specified switching elements and the specified transforming elements, the specified signal wiring is placed tightly to the position of the specified pixels, joined at the greatest distance from the specified signal-processing circuit.
EFFECT: possibility of picking up very small signals with a semiconductor transforming element by increasing the signal-to-noise ratio of the radiation detector.
